Barbara De Angelis' quote sums up the journey we are about to take together. Let's be honest, if you are on this page you aren't happy everyday. On the flipside, if you are on this page, you are looking to challenge adversity and face the difficult times you've been experiencing. You no longer have to do that alone.

In working together, our relationship will serve as a foundation to you seizing the life you want to live. Meeting you where you are, we will challenge core beliefs that hold you back, develop communication and relationship skills to move you forward, and dismantle the shame that leads you to belittle and sabotage the positive facets of your life. If you've come this far, you're already a survivor. Our job will be to help you take the next step of owning it and working to become a thriver.

For those of you who need technical terms to grasp our work, we incorporate a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (helping you create more balanced thoughts to have more manageable emotions leading to more constructive behaviors), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (developing self-regulation, assertive communication, and conflict resolution skills), Motivational Interviewing (meeting you where you are and helping you get where you want to be), as well as encouraging 12 step or other sober support for folks battling substance use disorders.
