While the acknowledgment of mental health challenges has increased in the last decade, it seems as though over half the time that you hear the word mental health, it is followed by the word “stigma.”
The word stigma most loosely translates to….SHAME.
Shame promotes hiding and feeds disconnection, undermining organizational goals of building cohesion. While society is getting better at acknowledging mental health as a real issue, we are still experiencing challenges effectively taking the next step of reducing the shame and making it something that we talk freely about and address well as a community.
Enter the solution.
Some people are comfortable speaking on challenging topics in a way that everyday people can hear it. Some people have training, experience, and information to help you answer tough questions.
We are the rare combination that offers both.
Because of our diverse personal and professional experiences, as well as our genuine passion for community healing, our team members are committed to carrying the message of wellness and recovery in an accessible way to:

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with 17 years of professional mental health experience, Perry partners with the Educational Equity institute to bring a unique approach that seeks involves systems level work integrated with a trauma informed and a healing centered paradigm. Perry’s work supports organizations in moving beyond memorizing buzzwords and transitioning into acknowledging and compassionately addressing the psychological and emotional dynamics created by challenges of organizational and community inequity.
Challenges of inequity often paralyze our organizations from doing the hard work of transitioning our missions and visions from written document to practical implementation.
